According to David Brown there’s nothing more satisfying than sitting in the cabin of the Sumitomo SH300-6 excavator and being able to work in comfort all day long. David Brown who is owner/operator and director of Tauranga based DMD Contracting knows a thing or two about excavators and to say he is mighty impressed with his latest acquisition is an understatement to say the least.
DMD Contracting already owns a Sumitomo SH210-5. “I have always been impressed with the cost effectiveness of the Sumitomo but to achieve even greater savings with the new model is just beyond belief,” says David.
“Apart from the fact that the Sumitomo is easy to operate, it has very quick cycle times, is easy to maintain and is great for finishing work. We’ll only buy Sumitomo from now on,” he says.
The Sumitomo SH300-6 is the most recent addition to the Sumitomo range and features a TIER 3 engine, stronger boom and dipper arms and improved undercarriage components for longer wear life.
A ROPS certified cabin with pressurised air conditioning, a hi-definition LCD monitor and rear view camera are just some of the features that come with the cabin. The spacious cab on suspension mounts and reclining suspension seat help reduce operator fatigue and provide a more relaxed environment. The Sumitomo SH300-6 has greater visibility, lower noise levels and a safer and easier entry point for the operator. As well as that the control panels are all in front of you instead of being on the side.
Serviceability and durability are also important points of this machine’s performance. Ground level access to the engine makes daily maintenance extremely straight- forward increasing the cooling capability and durability has further enhanced reliability of this Dash 6 excavator.
