
Round two of the CCNZ EPIC Photo Competition was about EPIC projects large and small.
All entries received for this round have been published at https://epicwork.nz/photocomp/, which is now also open for the next, third, competition round.
The prizes won for Round two were a Z gift card to the value of $300; a feature on the EPIC website and social media; a scale model of some of the awesome technology contractors use on the job; and a $100 Z gift card for the runner-up.

The winner
Rob North from Rock Control at Kaikoura – installing soil stabilisation with a grouting flush on the cliffs above Kaikoura.

The runner-up
James Sokalski, JPS Earthmoving in the Wairarapa was this round’s runner-up with a vision of every kid’s dream project – a team of excavator operators opening up the sandbar at Lake Onoke to allow the water to flow out to sea.

3. Construction of the two-lane Taipa bridge project by Arden Hermans from Fulton Hogan.

4. Building a rock causeway into lake in preparation for dredging – Oscar Tatom, Fulton Hogan.

5. Rock breaking for a house foundation overlooking the Remarkables and the Kawarau River by Jacob Reynolds from SouthRoads.

6. Jetting pontoon piles for new boat ramp and pontoon in Pauanui by Michelle Bathurst from EPL Construction.
