NZ Contractor magazine has a Facebook page with an engaged audience of followers.
Today’s blog post is inspired by a couple of comments on the Facebook page. And a little nugget about our new admin resource.
The comments were prompted by June’s magazine article- on the Mingha Bluff realignment project. This project has not only been badly effected by the weather, but by traffic flows also.
On two occasions closure of the Lewis Pass due to slips has forced Christchurch to Picton traffic to go over Arthurs Pass to Kumara, then from Kumara to Picton via Westport and Nelson. That is some shortcut- and a traffic management challenge too.
Anyway we’ve had several comments from truck-drivers saying what a great job Hawkins Infrastructure has done with the management of this project. Thanks for taking the effort to do that- we will pass the feedback on.
The stars have aligned and we have secured Richard Campbell’s assistance running our Facebook page. Expect to see some serious and detailed reflection as Richard shares his knowledge from years working on and with legendary machines- follow the page here.
