In October’s Contractor magazine technical writer Richard Silcock takes a closer look at a binding agent that offers councils and NZTA a viable alternative to aggregate. Otta is a sealing agent which has been trialled by various city and district councils thus far, and as a methodology appeals

in comparison to the use of finite resources such as quarried or river-sourced aggregate. Silcock speaks with a number of organizations about the performance of Otta, and their feedback is covered in the course of the article.
